I was raised on a small horse farm in southern Wisconsin. I moved to Madison at 18, where I attended Madison College.
Over the years, I have pursued different jobs in a career of working “in the field” in sales and customer/human relations, meeting directly with the people the job served.
It is at one of those jobs that I met my life partner, Ken. We built our first house in a rural subdivision, but later sold it to get back to our small farm roots on 7ac. in the country with our two kids, rescue cats, horses, and a vision of all the possibilities the acreage could provide for our family and others.
I have been an animal lover and protector all my life. This protective love pertains to people as well. I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves and do the hard work. But I also enjoy a lazy beach day somewhere warm and beautiful or curled up on the couch on a cold or rainy day with a bunch of kitties and a good TV show.

Ken grew up on a small family dairy farm in rural Wisconsin. He has always had a love for working outside and with machinery and implements. His career has been in Information Technology for the past 28 years. For the past 15 years as the IT Director for the UW-Madison Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.
However, he still maintains a strong connection to the farm and animals. He started raising bees with his child 7 years ago and has been doing hemp research for the past 4 years now with a program based out of University of Wisconsin – Madison https://www.emergingcropswi.org/hemp.html. He enjoys working with people and helping them to find ways to make their life easier and offer his wisdom and assistance with that.
Together with Jo Anna they have raised and rescued horses, chickens, dogs, and cats on their small farm located in Dane county.
